Person Mapping
Signal actors are anonymized entries — a SHA-256 hash of the tenant ID and external user ID. For comparison between formal roles (persons in roleALPHA) and lived interactions to work, actors must be linked to roleALPHA persons.
Find the mapping under Settings → Data & Structure → Org Intelligence → “Person Mapping” tab.
Mapping Methods

Section titled “Automatic (MS Graph)”If the msgraph connector is active and “Auto-map persons” is enabled in the configuration, the collector uses the Entra ID object ID:
- ra-connect synchronizes persons with
descJsonb._syncId = {entraObjectId}. - ra-signals hashes the Entra ID and finds the matching actor.
- The mapping is set automatically — no manual step needed.
CSV Upload
Section titled “CSV Upload”For all other systems, upload a mapping file:

externalId,personUuidalice@company.com,550e8400-e29b-41d4-a716-446655440000The external ID is hashed and linked to the matching actor — plain names are not stored.
Privacy Notes
Section titled “Privacy Notes”- Mapping is opt-in — no automatic linking without explicit admin action.
- Plain names (emails, UPNs) are not stored — only the hash and person UUID.
- Deleting a person cascades to their mapping.
- After 90 days, actors are deleted (TTL) — the mapping too.
