Minimap – Stay Oriented in Large Diagrams
In large organisations the graphical views grow quickly: you zoom in, pan around – and easily lose track of where you are in the overall picture. The minimap fixes that. It shows a shrunken overview of the whole diagram in the bottom-left corner and highlights the part you are currently looking at.
Show and hide
Section titled “Show and hide”Every graphical view has a minimap button (map icon) on the right of the filter row above the view. One click shows or hides the minimap. The setting is remembered per view – if you hide the minimap in the org chart, for example, it stays hidden there while remaining visible in OKRs. By default the minimap is shown.
The zoom level next to it
Section titled “The zoom level next to it”Right next to the minimap button, the explorer shows the zoom level as a percentage. It answers the question the minimap leaves open: not where you are, but how close.
Pick a fixed level from the list (10 % to 400 %) or change it step by step with − and +. The display follows the scroll wheel and “fit” as well, so it always shows the true value — including an odd one like 137 %. At the limits the buttons are disabled instead of standing there doing nothing.
Where the minimap is available
Section titled “Where the minimap is available”The minimap appears wherever you navigate graphically:
- Explorer — the second view on every module page and the graph page. It draws objectives and key results, parent and subprojects, value streams with their sub-chains and everything else in one picture; until 09/2026 OKRs, projects and value streams each had a view of their own.
- Role circle view (nested circles)
- Graph (2D) under “Graph”
Note: the graph’s 3D view does not have a minimap (yet) – free camera navigation helps there instead. The minimap button therefore only appears in 2D mode.
How to read the minimap
Section titled “How to read the minimap”- The entire diagram is shown in miniature.
- A frame marks the currently visible section. As you zoom or pan the main view, the frame moves along with it.
Because the views are built on different technologies, the minimap looks and resolves slightly differently per view – but its purpose (whole picture + current section) is the same everywhere.
